Gen 4. It was when I really got into Pokemon. It's when I started a website, when I played the games obsessively, when the only music I had was Pokemon music, and all that. I feel a personal closeness with all the generation 4 Pokemon because they were so important to my life at that point. lol sinnohfetus get out of here underage b&

Probably the newest ones. The mechanics before Gen 4 were a bit wonky, and Gen 5 did some interesting stuff (triple battles are alright I guess)

Triple battles and Rotation (?) battles were an okay concept I guess, but they sucked a lot haha and they never did much with them so it just looked like they added a fancy thing just for the sake of adding it. I hope they do something interesting with that in X/Y.

Double battles are still way cooler than triples though. Maybe XY will take advantage of some of the other more gimmicky moves, like grass pledge. Actually, having any kind of "combo" system would be awesome

was it rotation or rotative in english
Yeah, a combo system would totally be cool. But I can't help thinking maybe 3 Pokémon is a bit too much? Idk, while the concept itself is interesting, it always felt useless (especially rotation wtf no need to even rotate anything 102% of the time) and like there was too much stuff going on.

I don't understand the point of rotation battle either. Maybe they put it in as a kind of beta for something in X/Y?

Rotation battles are boring. The only kinds of battles I really care about are singles

For me the NPCs always rotated their Pokemon right into my super-effective moves. Like seriously I didn't even rotate my Pokemon, just used the move and knew that it would hit the right target.

I don't really see the problem with NPCs. They are made so you can easily beat them using any Pokémon.
try rotation battles with actual competitive players it's like a fucking jungle
