Woo, new schedule for next semester!
Mon/Wed/Fri: - Data Structures - Creation and Kingdom - Tennis and Racquetball (not on Friday, though) - General Biology - Computer Architecture and Assembler Programming
Tues/Thurs: - Software Engineering
The idea of having only one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays is extremely appealing. ;D I only have to take 15 hours and I think I'll enjoy most of them (except biology, I hate biology).

I'm just gonna post in random threads to try to get conversation going again. I ended up skipping French II for French III and Health/PE are merged at my new school, so my schedule actually looks a little different: - French III - Health/PE (yuck) - >1400 History - Bio - English - Geometry - Journalism (we have a hideous website that makes me want to scream midloscoop.com/)And I'm doing the pre-IB program, send help

'I can't wait to get to gcse level so that I can drop the subjects I don't like' I said at the beginning of fourth year. I'm now going to sit my final exams and I hate most of my subjects, even the ones I chose ;A;
Basically I have: Art and Design, Business Studies, Geography, Maths, English Literature, Double Award Science, Learning for Life and Work, and I.T. The only one I can endure is art. Geography was a death trap, sobs.
You guys seem to have okay classes though?

You guys seem to have okay classes though? i feel you, after my EE i think that school can make me hate even my biggest obsessions LOL >okay classeschemistry is the absolute worse though??? we have like the worse teacher ever i can't even begin to describe him but let me just copy paste stuff students have said about him on ratemyteachers: >"this guy can't even give a class correctly" >"don't ever listen to him" >"the worst teacher I ever had, he was impudent, rude, grotesque and an all around prick" >"Overall, I feel like he shouldn't be teaching at a high school" >"His exams are super hard and everyone fails. [Except for] 2 students." >"Noob teacher" (my favourite)
i hate this guy more than i hate everything else in life lmao
OH do you guys have a class like contemporary world though? like a class to learn about currect events, politics, economy. and stuff like that. what do you guys call that?

Your chemistry teacher sounds rather crappy ;A; I know the feeling though, there are a few teachers I feel similarly about in my school.
Contemporary World? Sounds like a fancy way of phrasing what people in my country call Learning for Life and Work, ha. Learning for Life basically covers personal health, some politics, and finance. Nothing is really done in great detail or anything but I hate it. The coursework is repetitive and boring (our first piece was on the financial difficulties faced by young parents, pfft). To be honest though I didn't mind the politics stuff, although it was mainly just the politics of our country, which was all rather jumbled in my opinion. I mean, people bickering over a frickin' frackin' border, eugh.
So like, in Contemporary World, do you study much about politics in countries other than your own?

We call "Contemporary World" current events at our school. Not required though, and no way I'll be able to fit it in my schedule.

Ah, you're lucky that it isn't required, Gard ;A; I don't know about your version, but ours is poop.

lmao our version is alright, but we work a whole lot! the teacher is interesting though, and i feel like i'm learning some stuff. i guess.
we learn about events around the world, and even though i feel it's still kinda canada-centered, i can see there's an attempt at looking at different things. it's interesting. right now we're doing a stock market simulation (there's one dude in our class who's first in québec, he made so muhc money)

Well, it's good that you actually learn things! We did a stock market simulation in Business Studies last year, which was pretty cool actually. Everybody got super competitive though, pfft. My friend and I came second out of a class of.. about 18 of us? But yeah, that simulation thing sounds fun owo

we're in teams for 2 and my team is #139 in québec (there are 762 teams participating in our category)
lmao we didn't really make a lot of money (like 4000$ more... the dude in my class who's first made like 116000+$ more hahaha)

My schedule for next semester:
M/W/F: - 11:00 - Parallel Programming - 1:00 - Speech Communication (not on Friday) - 2:00 - Evangelism - 3:00 - GUI Programming (not on Friday)
T/Th: - 1:00 - Applied Algorithms - 2:30 - Civil War
I was going to take Artificial Intelligence, but it was at the same time as Civil War. I prioritized a general elective over a major specific elective.
