I was procrastinating today and I started going through my folders/photobucket to look at my older site stuff (dude, some of this stuff is from Piczo long ago yo only 90s kids remember). So I thought I'd make a thread to share memories and remember all the great things we did when this community was stil active. I mean dude, have a look at this aquabeam.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=introduce&action=display&thread=31 this was my first post on the forum ever, doesn't that bring you back? >inb4 half of the thread is drama but guys seriously it feels so good to rememberrrrrr

omg remember the whole community's huge freak-out about "originality" and then, quite ironically, we ALL had pages about being original?

Story time. It's really super long but worth it. (。・ω・。) When I was around 9 (2007 before I even went on Piczo man those were the true 90s), I would go on forums for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (it was Blue Rescue Team, fuck your explorer shit). There were so many noobs on those forums, I'd tell you about them all, but that's another story. Basically in the game, there was this strange dungeon called Dojo Registration. We knew it was a real dungeon because there were wondermail codes for it going around (also it was listed in that one wondermail generator everyone used back then). But it was impossible to actually go there, it wouldn't let you accept the mission. So everyone started making up their own rumors about it. Some people said that you could recruit Lucario (it was the ultimate Pokémon of the game), that all the legendaries were there, that everyone was lv100, or that it was just some random storage place. I think some guy said the dungeon had 69 floors (he was obviously lying jfc). But basically what we could all agree on: *The dungeon was there; *It was possible to access it; *You needed to have all the legendaries; *You needed to have all your Pokémon at lv100; *You had to be Lucario Rank (highest rescue rank); *You needed the wondermail code for a mission to get there. There were like 382905876432 different threads about this, with codebreakers trying to find the dungeon, smart people trying to find logical explainations (ex. it's the generic dungeon you go through when you're in dual-slot play), and of course n00blets lying that they entered the dungeon and that their Charizard turned green or something. Here's a particularly hilarious post: In the end, we found out the dungeon was in the code of the game (that's why it appeared in wondermail) but impossible to access. The smart people and codebreakers went back to their lives, the n00blets were frowned upon, etc. etc. It's still pretty fun to delude yourself about that kind of stuff once in a while. I can't believe my 9-year-old self believed the rumors tho. Those were the days.

Holy shit that reminds me of when everyone was trying to find Mew under the truck, or everyone thought Marril was the new Pikachu. Good fucking times on the Marriland forums. Was anyone around for that Dark Mastermind bullshit? When Marriland pretended to be some guy who hacked the forum but for some reason gave everyone the chance to defeat him through the battle system that was still there? I didn't participate, the whole thing was "WTF". Only true 90's kids remember this
