Everyone let's have a moment of silence for Hannah for making this beautiful section
Okay, but seriously now, do you guys believe in predestination or libertarian free will? And, no, I don't mean the weird Calvinism version of predestination. I mean predestination as every single decision made being in a course of cause-and effect: everything that was always meant to be will be, because you were always going to choose what you choose because of influences that were always going to occur. Libertarian free will is the opposite: it means that you genuinely do make choices regardless of influence, and can make different choices even if the exact same chain of events led up to it.
What do you think?

Libertarian free will. I actually was thinking about this the other day tbh. It's a topic that really interests me, ever since I first learned about it in school a few years back.
...omfg I can already tell this section will be the best thing ever.

I know, I'm in love!
I believe in predestination. Why would my decisions be any different if everything were the same? If all my choices are chemical reactions in my mind, then how could free will exist? We all operate as very complex machines, and even though we are capable of emotion and self-awareness, we still are biological machines that do everything for a reason.
Also Christian reference alert: If God knows everything, then that would mean that he is able to use his infinite knowledge to see the pattern of cause-and-effect in his creation. If Free will existed, then what would the future be? How could it be any different if forces besides sinful desires could defy God?
