I think it should be the woman's decision. Unless the two were being stupid and not using protection. I have a question. Say the soon-to-be mother wants an abortion and there is no complication with the birth. She wasn't raped, the baby won't be born with a defect of any kind, the pregnancy won't kill the mother. She just simply doesn't want the baby. But the dad wants the baby. He's willing to take full responsibility for it, and he's someone who would genuinely take good care of the baby. Should it be allowed? I ask because I read a story like this a while back and I think this would be a good talking point in this debate. I guess if the woman doesn't mind giving birth to the baby (my mom told me it's painful hahaha) then she should just let the dad take care of the child. But if the mother really doesn't want to go through all this shit she should have the right to get an abortion. I mean, the baby's going to come out of her womb...

I would say that it's still the woman's choice. Sure, the father wants the kid, but I think if he wants kids really bad he should have talked it over with her. It really is a relationship decision. I mean there must have been a failure in communication if he wants a kid and she doesn't...but it also could have been a matter of her "chickening out". But I still think it's her choice. You wouldn't take a kidney out of an unwilling patient's body because the husband wants it. Okay that might be a stretch but the reasons behind both have the same core: it's your body, and you have all rights to it. But I would seriously feel horrible for that man.
